Africa stands at a defining moment in its development journey. With a rapidly growing youth population and an expanding digital economy, the continent holds immense potential to use technology as a tool for sustainable development. What is required is intentional action—innovation that is grounded in purpose and designed to create real, measurable impact.
This is the mission of Tech Impact Club Africa (TIC Africa).
Who We Are
Tech Impact Club Africa is a community-driven platform dedicated to leveraging technology for social good across Africa. We bring together tech professionals, innovators, startups, nonprofits, and corporate partners who share a common goal: using technology to solve real societal challenges and unlock inclusive growth.
At Tech Impact Club Africa, we believe innovation must go beyond ideas and prototypes. It must translate into solutions that improve lives, strengthen communities, and build Africa’s future.
What We Do
Our work at Tech Impact Club Africa is anchored on three core pillars:
Community & Collaboration
We foster a vibrant network of impact-driven individuals and organizations across Africa, creating spaces for collaboration, learning, and partnership.
Capacity Building & Leadership Development
We support emerging tech leaders through mentorship, training, and exposure, equipping them with the skills and mindset required to lead change through technology.
Impact-Driven Innovation
We champion and support technology solutions that address critical sectors such as education, healthcare, financial inclusion, climate action, and social development.
Our Impact in 2025: Focused Support, Meaningful Change
In 2025, Tech Impact Club Africa adopted a deliberate and impact-focused approach—prioritizing depth over breadth to ensure tangible outcomes.
Empowering Girls in Tech in Zambia
Our key achievement in 2025 was providing grant support to Girl Coders Zambia, a grassroots organization dedicated to equipping young girls with coding and digital skills.
Through this support, Girl Coders Zambia was able to:- Expand access to coding and digital literacy programs
- Strengthen outreach within local communities
- Create inclusive and safe learning environments for girls
- Promote gender equity within Zambia’s tech ecosystem
This intervention reinforced our belief that investing in girls and young women in technology is a catalyst for long-term social and economic transformation.
Why This Matters
Across Africa, women and girls remain significantly underrepresented in technology. By supporting locally rooted organizations like Girl Coders Zambia, Tech Impact Club Africa ensures that resources reach communities where they can drive sustainable and lasting impact.
Looking Ahead to 2026: Expanding Impact Through Strategic Growth
Building on the success and lessons from Zambia, Tech Impact Club Africa is preparing to scale its impact in 2026.
A major focus of this expansion is the Future Africa Tech Leaders Campaign (FATLC)—a flagship initiative aimed at creating technology-driven impact in Nigeria, one of Africa’s largest innovation hubs.
The FATLC is designed to provide grant opportunities to companies and organizations leveraging technology to address pressing challenges in Nigeria. The campaign has already received numerous applications from impact-driven companies, highlighting a strong demand for structured funding and support within the ecosystem.
The Future Africa Tech Leaders Campaign will be fully implemented in January 2026, marking a significant milestone in Tech Impact Club Africa’s growth and continental expansion.
From Zambia to Nigeria—and Beyond
The focused success of our 2025 Zambia initiative has directly informed the design of FATLC. The insights gained—on partnership, accountability, and community-led execution—are shaping how we scale responsibly across Africa.
As we move forward, Tech Impact Club Africa remains committed to:
- Supporting locally driven, technology-based solutions
- Scaling impact through well-structured grant programs
- Building strategic partnerships across sectors
- Ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes
